Devastating House Fire

On Wednesday a serious fire ripped through our family home of 17 years, perishing all of their lifelong possessions! My mum and dad were away on holiday and my son came out of school to find the house ablaze! He called myself and 999 and against all orders he ran into the burning building to save his nana and granddads two dogs who were trapped inside, almost killing himself in the process as the fire had already ripped through the entire house!

My parents have worked so hard their whole lives to have the home they did! My dad was due to retire in July and now that they have lost everything they own that is no longer possible.

They have always been the ones in the position to help other people financially and have always done whatever they can to help anyone in their hour of need so they are really struggling to now be on the receiving end of that! Over the past few days we have had to have some raw and difficult conversations about the harsh reality of the position they've found themselves in and how they don't have very many options.

I asked them if they saw the harrowing video of the remains of their home and it was someone else's would they help and donate and they both said of course they would so looking at it like that they have now reluctantly agreed to allow me to go ahead and set this page up!

My family and I would greatly appreciate any help at all towards supporting my parents through this nightmare - they are completely broken
