To help the family of John Gibson with funeral expenses

On Friday, September 20, 2024, I received the most devastating call I’ve ever gotten. My daddy, John Gibson, had passed. I screamed and dropped to the floor. Once again my world and heart were shattered.

You always know that that’s a call you can get any day because no one is promised the next minute but you never really expect to get that call. I was in disbelief when I was told that he drowned. I thought, “There is no way possible that that could’ve happened!! Not my daddy. He has went hunting and fishing all of his life so there’s no way this is true.” I was wrong…

As my stepmom, Lisa and I have been getting these arrangements made for the funeral we learned that my dad didn’t have life insurance. Between the funeral home expenses and the cemetery expenses the bill is going way beyond what we had originally expected and that is keeping everything on the lower end of things. It is such a stressful time and having to worry about all of these expenses on top of everything else is making things even more difficult to deal with.
