To help the family of Paul Brazier lost at sea

Donation protected
We are trying to raise some funds to help the wife and two small children of Paul Brazier (Paulie) who sadly has been lost at sea recently after a boating accident, he had all of the safety gear and his boat was in great condition, the police are are still completing their investigation to try and work out what happened but its clear that we will never really know what happened.

Paulie departed the Hervey Bay marina at approximately 1:30 on Monday the 25th of May for a solo fishing trip that ended in tragedy for his family and many friends.

The police were alerted after it was clear to all of us that he wasn't just out of phone range and they immediately initiated a search that located his upturned boat north of Fraser Island, the Police coordinated a 5 day search that he would have been proud of and they threw everything they had including the kitchen sink into the search to find him, but sadly were unable to locate him.

Paulie leaves behind his wife and two small children and as is to be expected his wife is experiencing the extreme grief that comes with a loss like this and will obviously be hit again with the economic hardship that will follow, Paulie's wife has no shortage of support around her and we will make sure his family comes through this and gets to the other side of what ever this is.

After speaking to a number of his many friends there's one thing that keeps popping up after how our souls have been torn from our chests and that is the obvious need for the family he leaves behind to take care of the day to day expenses, our hope is to raise enough money to give his family some financial breathing room to process this tragedy without the added stress of where the money is coming from to pay the mortgage and other bills etc....

The situation unraveled slowly and it was day after day of brutal ups and downs, and after all of this we still have no real answers apart from the gut wrenching fact that he is gone. This is one of those situations that will be hard to move on from as there is no closure and no explanation, just questions and hypothetical scenarios that play over and over in your mind at night.

Paulie was the best friend I have had, he was a fantastic father, he would do anything for his friends and family and was the kind of guy that would meet total strangers and become great friends with them with ease, a true one in a million kind of guy, if you knew him you know what I mean.

So we ask you, If you were lucky enough to meet Paulie, you know how fortunate you were to know such a guy. Please donate what you can, If we can get everyone who he made laugh or smile to contribute we will have no problems in softening the financial blow to his family.

I also ask that any comments about this fundraiser are directed outward to people who want to help, to this fundraiser, or to me Matt Spargo and not to his wife who is un aware of this fundraiser (at least at the time of this being created).

If the goal of $18,000 is reached I will be raising the goal to a higher figure as this will allow for his family to have more time if they need it.

Paulie had friends everywhere so please share this to anyone you know who knew him, also and ask that they do the same.
