Jim Pfannenstiel is a devoted family man who retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons after a rewarding 30 plus year career. Shortly after his retirement, Jim enjoyed his work as a starter and marshal at Mt. Woodson golf course for two years before moving into the golf shop. In February, Jim suffered a tragic accident while doing yardwork in his backyard. He broke his C3 and C4 vertebrae, and is now paralyzed from the shoulders down.Jim and his wife, Stacey, are both Air Force veterans. They are faced with a long road of life altering challenges. Jim will require significant assistance and support to accomplish daily activities. Notonly will this be challenging physically, and mentally, but also financially. We are asking for donations for state of the art equipment to make their lives more manageable and comfortable. Assistive devices such as specialized equipment, home modifications, and a wheelchair accessible vehicle are necessary to enhance his quality of life and these items are not provided by the VA or other resources. If you have had the privilege of meeting Jim, you know he is a fun loving , quick witted guy, who knows how to work hard during times of adversity and challenge. His determination and positive mindset our valuable assets as he navigates these challenges and works towards regaining his independence and quality of lifeThank you for your financial assistance and generosity. We ask that you keep Jim in your prayers.
