To help the Rachel and Mark Bouchard family

Hi, my name is Glenda (O'Leary) Jackson and I am starting this fundraiser for my sister Rachel (O'Leary) Bouchard and her family. Many of you know our families, we are from backhome, northern Maine and Canada. They suddenly are faced with a medical health emergency which will put unbearable financial burdens on them. I cannot help her and her family health wise, but I thought together we could do something to help them financially by starting this fund raiser. They now live in Long Island NY, and their families are scattered from Canada, Northern Maine to CT and AZ., but no family close enough to lend a hand. Back in our small hometown the community would rally together and hold a benefit dinner to help famililes in need. I and my family were the grateful recipients of a benefit dinner many years ago from our backhome close knit community when we faced a tragedy. Now we are all spread out across the miles and this is the best way we can help this precious family that needs their community to rally around them,

On Dec 29th 2022, on his way to work that morning Mark suffered a severe stroke. He is currently in the hospital being treated and assessed by a terrific team of Doctors. His diagnosis is being evaluated every day, his doctors are hopeful but it will be a long road ahead. Rachel has taken this week off work to be with Mark, she makes the one hour drive ( one way) every day to the hospital.

With that said, Mark is the primary income and provider for this family. His family depends on him. Now Rachel will be the only income to meet the famililes financial needs, mortgage etc. This is impossible with her income alone. She also needs to get their home wheelchair assessable for when Mark comes home, a ramp to get to the door, and a wider door to allow wheelchair access and bathroom revovations to allow wheelchair entry and shower stall. Rachel will resume her job next week and try to juggle it all.

On top of all of this, Rachel is the caregiver for their 22 year old daughter Deanna, who since this past June has been faced with a debilitating disease that left her unable to work, and using a walker most days. Rachel is still driving her to Doctors appts and test to determine the cause and find some treatment.

As you can see this family needs our prayers and much financial help as possible. We know this financial burden cannot be carried or met alone, we need the help of our families, friends and our communities to help.

Also please keep this precious family in your prayers. We are a strong faith family and believe in the power of prayer!
