My name is Jairo Chavez,
I am one of three older brothers of Jesus Chavez. It’s with a heavy heart that I have to confirm the passing of brother. Jesus passed away unexpectedly. We do not have many details on what has happened. We are waiting for the medical examiner’s cause of death. All we do know is that it appears he passed away in his sleep. I have lost a part of me that I can never get back. Jesus was my best friend and my little brother. These donations will be used to give him the burial that he deserves. Also, to help support our mother while she navigates through this difficult time. We hope this can give our family the ability to focus on healing.
It does not feel real. He was one of the strongest people I know. The name, “Jesus Chavez”, will go on and it will claim his place in history forever. He played the sport KABADDI all around the world, and was one of the best to ever do it. Only gone, but never forgotten. He will always be in the KABADDI ground with me, and it was an honor to have been able to spend so many years playing side by side with him. I will cherish the moments and memories we shared for the rest of my life.
There are no words or ways to make any of this any better for anyone. Our family, his friends, and his fans all feel the burden of this loss. Hopefully with your help we can at least make these next steps a little easier.
