To help vet bills for my sick cat Gizmo

Hi All,

Anyone who knows me on the surface or personally knows I hate asking for anything, but they know how much I love my cats. Unfortunately, my 6-year-old cat got taken very ill unexpectedly, and in the space of a week, he has deteriorated significantly. He hasn't been eating for a number of days and has been very lethargic and sleeping most of the time, and at this point, he is very thin and hasn't been to the toilet. I have taken him to the vet multiple times, but two vets with 20 years of experience each disagreed on whether they could feel a blockage. Anyhow, fast forward to today, he has had to have exploratory surgery, and at this point, I will not know more until later.

The reason for this is that I stupidly thought I was covered for pet insurance through my bank, but it turns out I am not. With all the trips to the vets are mounting up, it has cost 1.3K so far! Luckily I have some great support and a few friends helping me where they can. This cat has been around from day one, more or less in my working adult life, and is everything to me! Unfortunately, the timing isn't that great as i have been suffering with my mental health earlier this year and am on a phased return back to work so I haven't seen a full wage recently. Anything that you can spare, I will be eternally grateful, even if a share!
