Help With Legal Costs for Son’s Inquest
Donation protected
This is my beloved son, he took his life in November 2018 aged 26.
There’s no legal aid available for inquests but depending on what the coroner rules (if an Article 2 Right To Life) at the second pre Inquest on the 17th I will be able to apply for legal aid for a Barrister to represent us at the full inquest though help is not guaranteed. This fundraiser is to help pay for a solicitor who will work for us, ask the right questions and support us at the next pre inquest and possibly beyond; after the first one we realised our complete lack of legal knowledge and our emotional ties would not help get justice for Christopher.
We know how the ruling will go but there are huge questions regarding accountability and I want those people to be asked and to answer the right questions. And of course, these people already have their own teams of legal experts.
Questions such as why, after two suicide attempts within 3 days did you not deem him a risk and allow him to come home. I’m sorry but because he made good eye contact and promised not to do it again isn’t good enough. I wasn’t told about the second attempt until several months after his death. It’s agony.
There have sadly been other male suicides in Lincoln since my son but I chose not to have any media coverage and kept it relatively private but it’s become a very complex case with a two day full inquest pencilled in for May and I need some help.
If you or someone you know is suffering or is having thoughts of suicide please ask for help. We support

anything over and above what’s needed will be donated to this charity in Christopher’s name.
Thank you
