To Honor Jason Steele

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Jason Steele at his home on Saturday morning following a recent heart event. Jason was a dedicated and loyal colleague who never hesitated to help his team when in need. Most of all, Jason was our friend, and he will never be forgotten.

Jason’s easy manner and kind heart were a source of comfort to many of his friends at J. R. Hobbs. He helped us navigate turbulent times with dignity and resolve. Jason carried a positive attitude with him always. You could often find him leading from the front with his hard hat on and tools in his hands to get the job done. It was always clear that Jason cared deeply for the well-being of his friends.

Jason worked at J. R. Hobbs for over five years in various roles, including Area Manager, Commercial Team, performing changeouts, and most recently as a Project Manager; however, his family’s history with the company dates back to its founding by his grandfather in 1971. Jason’s legacy at J. R. Hobbs will continue through the relationships he made, the standards he set, and the knowledge he passed down while mentoring our rising tradespeople.

Jason was special. He will be missed.

To honor Jason and support his family, we established this fund where anyone can contribute directly for the benefit of Jason’s family.

All funds will be transferred directly to Jason’s family. J. R. Hobbs will also contribute to the fund before closing the site.
