To Ken Giese...with love❣️

Lou Gehrig is remembered for his speech at Yankee Stadium when he stated, ”I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of this earth.” The photo collage you see was gathered from scrolling through Ken Giese’s Facebook albums. The overwhelming emotion gathered during that search is one of sheer joy realizing how many friends and chosen family are the luckiest people on the face of the earth by knowing Ken Giese.
Ken, like Lou has been given a ”bad break” as he’s been dealing with ALS since the summer of 2022. We share this GoFundMe account with you not because we can stop ALS but to tell Ken how much we love him. Of course, the care, equipment, supplies and medicine bills add up. To this point with the help of many of you and professional resources it’s been managed. However, the days ahead are uncertain and honestly… while this time is a way to give a ”love offering”…you could possibly hear from us again should the need be more focused.
Some of us have recently experienced the power of a GoFundMe and how it helps build a circle of love and support around the recipient. Again, looking at Ken’s Facebook feed one would think he is perfectly healthy. His political views are ever evident. His snark is sharp and quick. And his compassion for those he holds dear is inspiring. If one didn’t know his current medical condition it would seem all is well. And, that’s the way he wants it. However, we feel it’s time for his circle of love to gather. He is aware of the love and support many have already provided. But, he’s said NO more than he’s said Yes. Now it’s time for us to not take NO for an answer. We’re sure many of you have wondered what you can do to help. This is your chance to love Ken Giese…now more than ever before. When a gift is wrapped in love….no gift is too small.
We love you for loving Ken.
