To lay Jacob “Littles” Murphy Jr. to rest

My name is Alycia Murphy, the cousin of Littles. I am organizing this for Jacobs mom, Rebecca. Starting at 6 weeks old Jacob was diagnosed with a heart condition, at about 8 months of age he had to have his very first of many open heart surgeries at UC Davis hospital. As you can imagine this was the hardest things his mother, Rebecca Johnson, could experience. Watching her son at such a young age be stuck in a hospital. As Jacob got older he still faced many obstacles from not only his his heart condition, but being allergic to many medications and latex that would normally be used for a condition like this. His doctors said he was a rare case due to the allergies making things even more difficult when it came to treatment. Despite these obstacles Jacob was still the strongest fighter and didn’t let this tear him down. After many procedures, open heart surgeries and lots of medications Jacob was listed on the heart transplant list on 10/07/2021, FINALLY his mom got the call “We found a heart for littles” on 08/11/2022. He then had a successful heart transplant on 08/12/2022. Although successful, Jacob still had to live in the hospital for 4 months to continue to build strength and heal. He came home November 2022 to live his life and continue school. Unfortunately on September 2023 Jacob fell very sick placing him back in the hospital, the doctors tried everything they could to make him better and nothing seemed to worked… After 18 years of fighting littles lost his battle on 09/11/2023, but one thing is for certain he was a fighter!!! He has now joined heaven to be with his father Jacob Sr. His mom will carry on his legacy and will need all the support she can get. Please help us lay him to rest so he can be at peace with his dad.
