Help for the long haul....

Hi, my name is Jean, many of you know my extended family includes the Sara and Dan Kuhn family. As you may be aware, their daughter Makenna is actively battling Osteosarcoma. She began her fight in March of 2021 after finding a tumor above her knee. Since that time she has had to battle several additional Mets in her lungs. More recently, a small tumor was found in the heel of her other foot. Makenna started her second round of inpatient chemo last week (10/23/23). During this time, Dan and Sara have been exhausting themselves in every possible way, emotionally, practically, and financially, just trying to keep up with all of the demands of an active busy family. Dan and Sara both work full time jobs, and volunteer in countless ways to the community. Brennan is off to college at Nazareth University, Makenna fighting cancer and trying to participate in her first High School musical in addition to all the other passions of a teenage girl, and Phin the sports dude attending practices, scouts, and participating in all his hobbies. Makenna has been placed on a waiting list for a Car-T cell trial. There is no way of telling when (or if) a spot will open up for her, or when! When this spot opens up, it could be anywhere in the country and will require frequent back and forth travel, lodging meals, etc. So many of you have reached out to see how we might help this wonderful family during this most difficult time. This is one way we came up with. Funds will be used to help offset the multitude of medical costs that are adding up as well as helping with the extra expenses associated with the Car-T cell trials. By having these funds available, Dan and Sara can have a meal, drinks, or other comfort care items delivered directly to the hospital wherever they are.
