To protect and to serve: Now it's our turn
Donation protected
As you may know 2 of Anne Arundel County's finest were targeted in the early morning hours of Thursday Feb 6th. No one goes to work expecting not to come home. No one knows that reality and risk more than our first responders.
A man hunt continued for this evil well into the day light and beyond. Police worked tirelessly in the cold and rain to protect and serve our community.
Please know you are supported.
You are appreciated.
I feel it is our turn, as a community, to stand in solidarity and show our gratitude.
I am just your average citizen, with deep rooted ties to AACo police, AACo Fire Department, and Emergency Medicine. I fully support the first responders and during this tragedy, I felt empowered (maybe too much) to do something. I am a firm believer that there is more good than evil in this world and I chose to try and make a difference. Unfortunately, the community and I were not on the same page initially. Being an amateur fund raiser, clearly not knowing the etiquette, this campaign got off to a rocky start. But in working with AACo Police Department and the families of the 2 Detectives, we have been authorized to move forth with this fundraiser.
Per the detectives wishes, I will handling the withdrawals and making a charitable donation, in their honors, to The 100 Club of Anne Arundel County.
All funds raised in this campaign will be used to provide assistance to active uniformed public safety officers of affiliated agencies via scholarships and/or compassionate giving to those who are severely injured or make the ultimate sacrifice while in service to the citizens of Anne Arundel County.
Their motto is: “Serving Those Who Serve” and this is the perfect opportunity to take a moment and show our support.

Saturday, I had the pleasure of speaking with the wife of one of the detectives, who sends her sincere thank you for all of the love and support that has been shown to her and her family over the last few days from the community.
Together we really can make a difference!
Please consider any amount. If that's not possible, please share and please take a moment to pray for all involved and all affected.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
