To raise awareness of mental health issues in men

Hi my name is kathy.

6 weeks ago my son jumped infront of a tram to take his life.

He is currently in salford royal hospital and will be for at least a year due to his brain injury.

He also has every rib on left side broken, a shattered hip and pelvis, an open fracture on his left hand, a spinal injury, multiple face fractures and a fractured skull.

I'm raising money with OAFC to raise awareness of mental health in men.

Our son never showed signs of any issues on the day he jumped and we need to get this issue with men more out there.

It's not spoken about.

Men think if they tell people how they feel then it belittles them and makes them look weak but it doesn't.

We want to raise what we can to get more help as there are so many young men that are taking there own lives and leaving families like ourselves devastated.

We want to change this now and if I can save 1 man's life then I know I'm doing things right.
