To Raise Money towards Brianna Scoliosis Surgery In the Uk

Hi My Name Is Catriona Phelan. Mother of BrIanna Phelan Somers.

A little introduction about Brianna ,

Brianna Phelan Somers was born on the 6th June 2014 in Holles Street Hospital Dublin. lives in Kilkenny with myself her Daddy Frank and sister Johanna . Brianna was Transferred To Temple Street Children's Hospital when she was a day old to have her first back surgery to close up the opening in her Spine at 2 days old . 7 weeks later they inserted a Vp shunt as Brianna Also has HYDROCEPHALUS .

Brianna is a happy 10 year old girl always Smiling no matter what she has been through there is always a smile she lightens up any room she enters with her witty funny sense of humour .

Brianna was Born With Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida And and is a full time wheel chair user. A year and 6 months ago she had spinal surgery she had growth rod inserted and it failed and 8 months after her shunt had to be replaced . Her spine is now completely twisted and affecting her lungs and other organs . . .She is been transferred to Great Ormond Street Children Hospital in the UK as her Consultant here in Ireland thinks she will have a successful and complete outcome as the Facilities are not available here in Ireland . she needs to have a spinal fusion and plastic surgery . The Government are funding part of it towards treatment but we need to provide Accommodation and medical support ourselves .
