Reunion with my husband

Amidst the ruins of the crumbling city, from the heart of the city of conflict and love, the city of death and life – Gaza – emerges the story of Tahani, a young civil engineer. She embodies the weight of life and motherhood amid the ruins of her beautiful city, now a place marked by death, hunger, oppression, and disease.
Tahani, only a few months into her marriage to the love of her life, had envisioned a future with her husband, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child in their warm, beautiful home. Tahani, an engineer, and her husband, who had completed his master's in biotechnology and plant sciences in Turkey, always sought to provide a better life for their soon-to-arrive child. However, her joy turned to despair as she found herself in the heart of a relentless onslaught, forced to flee her once-beautiful home multiple times amidst heavy bombardment and destruction.
Carrying life within her and burdened with worries about an unknown fate, Tahani faced the harsh reality of war, clinging to life for the sake of the child she had dreamed of welcoming into a world filled with love and security. Forced to move from one place to another, her health deteriorated in the absence of proper healthcare, with the spread of diseases, food scarcity, medicine, and harsh living conditions, all while anticipating an early childbirth.
In a place devoid of the basic necessities for life and health, Tahani and her husband made the toughest decision of their lives – to embark on an incredibly challenging journey, leaving behind their beloved homeland. Tahani, navigating difficult crossings, faced the heart-wrenching choice of leaving her husband behind, forsaking everything – her love, family, friends, dreams, memories, and even her now-ashes home. Yet, she gathered strength for the sake of the life growing within her.
With her fragile body and weary mind, Tahani clung to a spark of hope for her unborn child. Alone, crossing borders, leaving everything behind, in darkness and silence, she found herself entirely alone. The pressure intensified as she confronted the challenges of displacement and the imminent birth. Alone, she needed extraordinary strength to face the harsh present and forge a better future for her child.
This story highlights the strength of women facing challenging circumstances and inspires collaboration to aid those silently suffering in darkness. Tahani now needs financial support to cover the exorbitant costs of childbirth and the needs of her child, so that they may be born in peace. She hopes to reunite with her family and husband, welcoming her precious one into the world in good health and returning to her loved ones anew.
