TO Solidarity with Unist'ot'en land defenders!

We’re reaching out to ask for your support at an urgent moment.
The courageous land defenders of the Unist'ot'en camp have just been informed that TransCanada, the company trying to ram their Coastal Gas Link fracking pipeline through Unist’ot’en territory, has applied for an injunction asking the RCMP to arrest and remove all people from the camp, as soon as next week.
The Unist’ot’en Camp is a resistance struggle and community that has occupied and defended their unceded and unsurrendered territory continuously for the last 10 years and, in doing so, contributed to the cancellation of five pipelines.
Unist’ot’en urgently needs funds to face Coastal Gas Link and TransCanada in court. They have put out a call for solidarity and fundraising. This support is needed right now.
Help us mobilize support in Toronto by sharing this campaign with friends and family. 100% of funds donated to this campaign will go to the camp, supporting the ongoing peaceful occupation to protect Unist’ot’en homelands from illegal industrial encroachments, and create a space for community healing from the violence of colonization.
The Unist’ot’en Camp has already contributed to the cancellation of five pipelines, and despite many attempts over the past decade, no pipeline work has been done within Unist’ot’en territory. The camp is on the frontlines of fighting the climate crisis, and the actions the Unist’ot’en people have taken to stop these pipelines from being built serve to protect not only their land, but all of us. It is actions like these - deeply impactful, community-led, and directly confronting fossil fuel infrastructure – that represent our best hope at continuing to inhabit a liveable planet.
We are raising funds until December 21st!
Please give what you can and help to spread the word.
