Deborah Onwu was a seasoned Social Care Professional who was working as a Caseworker at Wood’s Homes - a Children, Youth and Family Support Agency in Calgary. Deborah was tragically stabbed to death on October 25, 2019, in a violent work-related incident involving a client she was providing support to.
Deborah was a kind, loving, compassionate, caring and hardworking woman who loved her job and took pride and fulfillment in the services and help she rendered to the vulnerable clients and families she worked with. Unfortunately, Deborah paid the ultimate price doing what she loved most.
Deborah’s family, friends, church community and general Nigerian Community are devastated by her untimely and tragic death.
Deborah has no immediate family member in Calgary or Canada, therefore her friends, church and Nigerian communities in general are asking for your financial support towards Deborah’s Funeral plans, other logistics that will be involved in her burial and also to support her family.
