With regards to Land Acquisition/purchase of 19-23 Belvedere Drive Park Ridge on Monday 27th Nov 2023 at a cost of $2M.

With the blessings of Lord Shiva and all your support

we are delighted to share that the land purchase/settlement for Shivalayam was successfully completed on Monday 27th NOV 2023 Kartika Pournami day, marking a significant milestone in SKED's endeavor to establish a divine space for spiritual enrichment.

To make this dream a reality, we secured a 70% loan ($1.3M) for the land acquisition. Now, we are reaching out to our cherished community for support. The monthly premium for the loan is $8,900 and we invite you to contribute to any small form per month to help SKED to manage monthly bank repayments efficiently and solidify Shivalayam's foundation.

We are writing to you with an important update regarding the fundraising efforts for Sri Kamakshi Ekambareswara Dhaam(SKED). As you know, our temple plays a crucial role in bringing our community together and providing a sacred space for worship, reflection, and communal activities. However, we find ourselves facing a challenge that requires your immediate attention and support. Despite our best efforts, we are currently experiencing difficulty to pay monthly repayments and principal loan amount of $1.3M.

We understand that everyone has their own financial commitments, and we truly appreciate the generosity you have shown in the past.

However, we are reaching out to you because we believe in the strength of our community and its ability to come together in times of need. If you are in a position to contribute, even a small/tiny amount can make a significant difference and for a Bhoomi Daan of 1sqm $516 or more sqms as per donors wish. SKED needs around 2500 donors to donate for minimum 1sqm of Bhoomi Daan to support the holy cause.

The Bhaviṣhya Purāṇ states:

dānamekaṁ kalau yuge [v5] “In the age of Kali, giving in charity is the means for purification.”

The Ramayan states this too:

pragaṭa chāri pada dharma ke kali mahuñ ek pradhāna

jena kena bidhi dīnheṅ dāna karai kalyāna [v6]

“Dharma has four basic tenets, one amongst which is the most important in the age of Kali—give in charity by whatever means possible.” The act of charity bestows many benefits. It reduces the attachment of the giver toward material objects; it develops the attitude of service; it expands the heart and fosters the sentiment of compassion for others. Hence, most religious traditions follow the injunction of giving away one-tenth of one’s earnings in charity.

Your support will help us continue to preserve and improve the fundraiser and enable SKED to pay loan interest repayments and paying off the principal amount for a debt-free land loan successfully.
