Help Toby Beat Brain Cancer

For two weeks, Toby’s headaches had been getting worse…

Severe headaches almost every day.

Which was strange, to say the least.

He’d not ever suffered from headaches in the past.

Everything changed for the worse on Friday, May 12th…

Toby worked that morning, but left for the hospital at lunch time.

And then… bad news.

They discovered a 2.5-inch brain tumor.

That evening he was taken by ambulance to Stanford to await an opening for emergency brain surgery.

They removed the tumor on Wednesday, May 17th, and tested it to see if it was cancerous.

And then more bad news…

The dreaded diagnosis of Glioblastoma…

The most aggressive and deadly brain cancer you can get.

Glioblastoma has a median survival rate of just 15 months.

Toby has made it 7 months so far (as of December 2023).

But he’s not been able to work since his diagnosis.

His wife Kimberly has not been able to work either as she’s been caring for Toby full time, taking him to appointments, giving him his meds, and more.

His two teenage children are estranged from their birth mother, who was abusive.

So they are now facing the very real possibility of losing their father, which would leave them feeling alone and abandoned.

In November, Toby began to have headaches again. The tumor had come back.

He’s since undergone a second brain surgery and is following an aggressive treatment plan to stop the tumor from coming back again.

Since the second surgery Toby has experienced a few seizures, including a grand mal seizure that required 7 people to hold him down and administer medication.

As most people are enjoying the holidays, Toby is fighting for his life.

And wondering how his family will survive without him.

Everybody who knows Toby wants him to beat this.

But beating cancer takes a lot of resources, and Toby and his family need help to do that.

That’s why they’ve set up this GoFundMe.

It’s not gotten much traction yet, but we’re hoping you can help change that.

Would you be able to donate $10 or $20 or more to help provide treatment for Toby?

And then share Toby’s story with the people you know?

All funds are going toward Toby’s treatment and recovery. Anything beyond that will help pay basic living expenses until he and his wife are able to work again.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping Toby in his time of need. Any help you can provide means more than you know!

God bless.
