Toby’s Good Boy ACL Surgery

“Hi, my name is Toby, and today I surprised my Mom with a torn ACL. She seems upset? But that may be just her face, I dunno.”

Okay, so real talk. I’m Toby’s Mom, my name is Kate. About a year ago Toby was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at the age of four, and I’ve been saving for FHO surgery. Today at his just surgery consult I was shocked to learn he actually has a torn ACL, which is a far more costly surgery that I was thoroughly unprepared for. Moreover, the surgeon said it’s highly likely he’ll tear his other one, but I’m just trying to deal with one thing at a time.

I was desperately trying to avoid this, and I’m pretty bad at asking for help, but I know I’m in over my head. I’m pretty embarrassed, but my Buddy’s health is more important than my temporary embarrassment, and he needs the surgery sooner rather than later. The deposit for the surgery is $4,700. I only have about half that amount saved so anything you could give is appreciated.
