Today for Shea (MATCHING up to $5k)

Today would have been our daughter Shea’s 10th birthday.

She lived only two days, but she changed our world forever.

Before Shea’s birth, neither of us was familiar with the term placental abruption but while I was in labor, home in Brooklyn, I began to hemorrhage. I was rushed into emergency surgery but doctors were unable to save Shea, who left us two days later. It was the greatest heartbreak we’ve ever experienced and one no parents should ever have to endure.

To honor Shea’s life and the love we’ll always carry, we’re launching #TodayForShea — a giving campaign to help other mothers, and babies begin their lives with strength, dignity, and hope. We’ll be matching all donations up to $5,000.
