Todd and Kelly Grant
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alissa Evans, and I am fundraising for my cousin and her husband, Kelly and Todd Grant. They live in Forsyth, Georgia. Kelly, Todd, and their 4 children are going through a very difficult time in their lives with Todd's health and the loss of his ability to work and provide for his family. Todd has had two brain surgeries and then suffered a stroke. This has put an unbearable financial burden on his family. Kelly is a nurse and is currently looking to change jobs to be able to better provide for her family, but that takes time. Todd's mother has moved in to help him while Kelly is at work. Any donations or prayers would be greatly appreciated. Also, please share this link if you feel led to do so.
See below to better understand his condition.
Almost three years ago Todd was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation 1. Two years ago Todd had decompression surgery to increase CSF flow and decrease headaches. Three months ago Todd started a new job to provide financially for his family. With the new job disability and PTO had not been built up enough for what was to come. On December 5th Todd started having dizzy spells after driving all day. These progressively got worse causing missed days. By the 19th of December Todd was admitted into the hospital. He was transported to Emory University in Atlanta. An MRI revealed a cyst on the right hemisphere of his brain in the cerebellum adjacent to a pseudomeningocele. A lumbar puncture revealed high pressure on the brain. A VP shunt was needed to relieve pressure in his brain. Within three days after being discharged from the hospital, Todd suffered a stroke on his right cerebellum resulting in another week in the hospital at Emory. It will be a long process to get him back into the workforce. Cognitive, visual, and memory issues are preventing him from providing for his family.
