Todd Kern Family - Emergency Fund

The funds will go to Jessica for living expenses for her and the kids as they face the future. Unfortunately, there is no life insurance and every contribution will be a meaningful blessing in an incredibly difficult time. 

Todd's parents will be paying for all of the expenses relating to his death and will be supporting Jessica and the kids by having them move into their home for now. 

However, in time, Jessica will want to live independently in her own place with her kids and this will require both a security deposit as well as several months rent. Life is expensive and will be challenging for Jessica on her own. Luckily she has a part-time job that will be the basis of her next step in life. Your gifts will help with car insurance, gas and other basic expenses. 

Susan and Jim will continue to provide love and support as Jessica makes plans for a different future. Your generosity breathes optimism into this time of crisis. 

ANNOUNCEMENT 

With great sorrow we announce that Todd Kern, 38, of El Dorado Hills, CA passed away on the morning of December 31. He was in a single-car accident.

More than anything Todd loved his children Jackson & Ellie and their mom Jessica; as well as his parents Susan and Jim and sister Jennifer... and he was loved fiercely in return.

Todd was hilarious. He told the best jokes and could do the funniest accents. He was very quick with a smile or a hug and always wanted to know what he could do to help. He lit up every room with his infectious optimism and enthusiasm. His greatest wish was to be a good family-man.

He was a stellar athlete, especially soccer, and was always up for every adventure. He loved being outside, never one to sit still, and was happiest fishing, dirt-biking, surfing, snowboarding or anything else that put the wind in his hair.

With his passing we ask for prayers for all who loved him, especially his children.
