Todd Myer's A.L.S
Donation protected
Todd Myer's retired from the Austin Police Department after serving 32 honorable years. Todd served as a field training officer and served in numerous specialized units. You could always count on Todd for a good laugh and at the same time, he was guy you wanted in your corner when things got real. In short, Todd is a true living legend.
Todd is also a distinguish musician. He's a skilled guitarist and loves playing the drums. Todd played in several bands, including "Dysfunction Junction" and "Funky Old Soul". Todd has genuine love for music and the Austin Music Community.
After his APD retirement, Todd chose a second career working for the Travis County District Attorney's Office as an investigator. While working for the District Attorney, Todd learned that he had Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (A.L.S.), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. A.L.S. is a debilitating disease, which is fatal.
In just a few short months, A.L.S. has completely altered Todd's life and he is now restricted to his bed. Todd has lost most of the use of his muscles, so his beautiful daughter, Lindsey, and other close family members are his current caretakers.
Todd has spent thousands of dollars fighting this vicious disease and requires a residence that better fits his rapidly progressing medical needs. Todd never asks for help, but he needs his friends and community now more than ever. Please consider donating to help Todd Myers with his mounting bills.
