Todd Needs Airway Surgery!
Tax deductible
Todd is a French Bulldog who was surrendered to us in January of 2022. Todds owners neglected him so much that, at even just 10 weeks old, he was emaciated, covered in his own urine and had sores all over his body from urine burns. Todd was also surrendered to us with the inability to walk.
Since being a part of our rescue, Todd has gained much needed weight and has done intense physical therapy. Although he still struggles to walk like a “normal” dog, he has made huge strides.
Along with difficulty walking, Todd has a hard time eating food. He often chokes and coughs up the food hes trying to eat. Also, his penis will often fail to retract into his body which has resulted in many emergency room visits.
With the guidance of an entire medical team, we have decided to move forward with several surgeries that will hopefully help Todd live a more comfortable life. The surgeries are risky, but not doing the surgeries may be riskier for Todd in the long run. The goal is to perform surgeries on Todd’s airways that will allow him to swallow and eat food more comfortably, minimizing his risk of aspiration, which could lead to a fatal form of pneumonia. The other surgery will consist of fixing the issue with his penis, which will allow it to retract appropriately into his body.
We need to raise about $6,000 to cover these surgeries. It’s a lot of money, but it will greatly improve the quality of life for Todd, a dog who has already endured so much discomfort and mistreatment in the short amount of time hes been on this earth. Please help us reach our goal so we can help Todd.
