Together for Allison: Overcoming Brain Surgery and Stroke

Allison Buckner Erickson, a single 46-year-old nurse, mother of two, and new grandmother, recently suffered a chronic subdural hematoma, or blood clot, and subsequent stroke that has impacted the region of the brain that processes language. She currently has difficulties in understanding and producing speech, reading, and writing.

As a result, Allison is not able to work as she goes through the grueling process of regaining her communication skills through speech and language therapy.

The money raised through this GoFundMe account will allow Allison to pay her medical bills, medication, transportation to and from therapy and doctor appointments, and provide for her daily living expenses, such as housing, food, and personal items.
