Together for Daniela: Help her FIGHT Cancer!

My sister Daniela is one of those people who would go to the ends of the earth to help those she loves and cares about. If you have ever been on the receiving end of her warmth and generosity, you know exactly what I’m talking about. She’s that sister, that friend, that wife, that daughter…the one that will drop everything to be there for you when you really need her. She has never once hesitated when I’ve asked her to do something for me – and I believe you would also be hard pressed to find a time that she didn’t step up to help in whatever way she could. She has been that rock for so many people over the years and often without a thought to how it might inconvenience her or challenge her own situation. She has poured in and given, sometimes more than she even had. 

A few weeks ago, Dani was admitted to the ER at Mayo with brain swelling, nausea, vomiting and weight loss. She left the clinic several days later with a diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic cancer that was in the brain, lungs, lymph nodes, and uterus. She has been dealing with some less-than-pleasant side effects and through it all has been able to keep her heart postured in complete gratitude for the blessings she has in her life. 

She is a fighter. I know you all know this. She is not ready to go yet and wants to be able to complete the mission that she knows she was created to accomplish. So I’m asking you, please consider donating financially to help Dani and her husband with medical expenses, etc. in order to provide her the best possible chance of pulling through this and living out what she was meant to do on this earth! She is exploring several treatment options and knowing that she doesn’t have to be concerned about where the money will come from would be a huge blessing. One of the places we are looking into is the Oasis for Healing Center in Arizona which has come highly recommended. They have excellent remission rates for even the most late-stage cancers. The cost of this 7-week program equates to roughly $75,000.

We all know that life has its ebbs and flows. Sometimes we are in a position to be the receivers and sometimes we are to be the givers. Ideally, we do both at the same time. But right now Dani is in a season where she needs us and she needs to receive from us. She needs the outpouring and care that she has provided to others to be returned to her in equal measure. People have been so gracious and stepped up and stepped in. I can tell you that as her sister, I’ve been amazed at the outpouring of love and care that has come her way and I can’t thank you enough for what you have already done. Thank you for considering this request. It isn’t easy to ask. But my sister is worth it. Her life is worth it. If you don’t want to or can’t give financially, please know that’s OK too. The giving of your love and time means everything and she will be grateful for any or all of it.
