Together for Dylan: Help Him Beat Leukemia
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
With a profound sadness and the approval of my brave brother, Dylan, I'm reaching out to further discuss his critical battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, compounded by a Philadelphia Chromosome Mutation. Diagnosed just weeks ago after a sudden and severe onset of symptoms, Dylan is now navigating the toughest fight of his life.
The road ahead is long and fraught with challenges. Dylan's treatment plan spans over the next 2-3 years, involving rigorous chemotherapy sessions, a hopeful bone marrow transplant, and ongoing maintenance. This intense regimen has already begun and includes treatments that compromise his immune system severely, leaving him isolated from the comfort of visitors and normal life.
Our family is rallying around Dylan, (who had to leave his job and is unable to work throughout this process), with our mom dedicating herself full-time to his care, significantly cutting down her work hours and thus our family's income. The financial burdens are mounting—from ongoing travel for treatments, to creating a sterile living environment at home, to unexpected medical needs like managing infections and complications such as blood clots.
We are setting up this GoFundMe to help alleviate the financial stress so that our family can focus on what matters most—supporting Dylan through every step of his recovery. Every donation will directly support medical expenses, his living expenses, travel for treatments, meals, and essential daily care that Dylan needs during this isolating time.
Your support means more than just financial relief; it's a gesture of love and community, reminding Dylan of the vast network of friends, loved ones, and kind souls cheering him on. If you can, please consider contributing to his fund and sharing it with others who would also like to help. If you're unable to donate, we ask for your prayers and to keep sending your cards and well-wishes to uplift his spirits.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, prayers, and support during this immensely challenging time. Together, we can help Dylan fight this—with all of us by his side, every step of the way.
With deepest gratitude,
Meghan
