Together for Nepal: A Dashain of Hope

Tax deductible
Namaste Everyone,

My name is Rashika Chamlagai, a graduate student, I am a co-founder of the Nepalese Student Association at UNC Greensboro. The NSA at UNCG along with NSA ( Mason, Townson, Chapel Hill, Yale, VA commonwealth ) is focused this year on giving back to our home. We are a group of Students based in USA.

We are raising the fund for Nepal Rising.

As we celebrate Dashain, one of the most important festivals in Nepal, it is a time for reflection, family, and community. This festival symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and is a reminder of the importance of unity and gratitude.

However, this year, our hearts are heavy as Nepal faces a devastating crisis. The country is under water, with severe flooding having claimed the lives of more than 200 people, and many more are still missing. Entire communities have lost everything—their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones. In this time of tragedy, it is crucial for us to stand in solidarity with those affected and extend whatever help we can.

The joy we share during Dashain should extend to those who are suffering. Whether through donations, fundraising, or raising awareness, we have a responsibility to support our country. Nepal continues to face these overwhelming challenges, and now more than ever, we must come together to help those who have lost so much.

As we enjoy the blessings of Dashain, let us come together to make a meaningful impact in Nepal. Happy Dashain to all! Let's celebrate by giving back.
