Why I Am Fundraising for My Sister, Sonya

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Alana, myself and my family are writing to you today with a heavy heart, asking for your support in one of the most difficult times of our life. Our beloved sister, Sonya, has been bravely fighting brain cancer for a few years now. After enduring countless treatments, surgery and more, her doctors have informed us that her condition is now terminal. She has only a couple of months left with us.

Throughout this journey, Sonya has shown immeasurable strength and grace. She’s been a loving mother to her 11-year-old twins, Jack and Destiny, and a devoted companion to her pets. Her courage and love have never wavered, even as the pain and burden of her illness have become heavier.

As we face the reality of her remaining time with us, we are reaching out to our community to ask for support, not just for Sonya, but for her children, her pets, and the financial burdens that have become overwhelming.
