Together for Yesi

Hi Friends,

This past week, our wonderful friend Yesi was hit with some life-altering news. After a month of dealing with COVID-19 symptoms, including daily fevers, she was told by her doctor to head directly to the emergency room. His voice was full of concern as he spoke the words no single human wants to hear, "possible cancer". After extensive tests, including a bone marrow biopsy, she was diagnosed with chronic leukemia. On February 5th, Yesi started what will now be her lifelong routine of taking her chemo pill in the morning. Though she has started treatment, doctors are still trying to control her white blood cell count. It is now her fifth day in the hospital.

We are very grateful for the series of events that have occurred that led to the diagnosis and treatment. We hope to help Yesi with as much as we can during her healing and moving forward. However, medical bills are still adding up, even with insurance. Any funds gathered through this GoFundMe will go towards paying medical bills, covering the cost of living whenever Yesi is unable to work due to chemotherapy treatments, and gathering any supplies she will need to comfort herself through this time. Yesi has always had an open heart and a giving soul; we hope you’ll find it in your heart to assist in any way possible. Remember, no amount is too small. Thank you for your support.
