Together We Can Get a New “AndyCap” Van
Dear Family & Friends:
Andy Dapron was born in 1982 with cerebral palsy resulting in paralysis, but that does not handicap his smile that is as wide as the horizon or the beating of his heart in service to others.
Anyone who knows Andy has been changed by him. He’s a volunteer teacher, leads others in contemplative prayer, serves in the office of Lector, loves classic rock music, enjoys travel, and adventure movies; especially Star Wars.
Unfortunately, Andy recently lost his reliable source of transportation when his van was totaled in a highway accident involving a semi-tractor trailer and truck. What a miracle that neither Andy nor his father were injured.

Now Andy finds himself back in his father’s decades-old van that was formerly used for parts, 250,000+ miles on the odometer, and a rear-entry lift that is not permitted on new vehicles due to safety issues. He’s even using a wheelchair from when he was 13 years old because his “newer” wheelchair doesn’t fit on the antique lift.
We hope, with your contributions, to purchase a new conversion van because his work, mobility and independence is literally tied to the wheels under him and those on the road.
The “AndyCap” van nickname came from his cousins when they were young and Andy gave them piggyback rides on his wheelchair. Can’t you just see it and hear the laughter….
