Together we can help Mikey heal

Hi, I'm Lorinda, and -on behalf of Michael Cox and his family- I am fundraising for his son, Mikey, born with Williams Syndrome and is currently an inpatient at Texas Children's Downtown. Mikey has undergone many surgeries in his short life.

Michael and Mikey may be traveling to meet with doctors who have done extensive research in cardio in hopes of finding a cure for Mikey, who is rapidly declining due to his severe heart failure that was caught late in March. Currently, Mikey's medical staff is working on getting him stable enough for the trip.

Travels, hospitalization, and a place to stay all incur expenses on top of their regular mortgage and bills. Michael is having to take time away from work to stay by his son's bedside and make sure he gets the treatment he needs for survival.

Chelsea and Mikey's brothers will be staying back in Texas, working, with the baby attending daycare and the oldest spending summer at home and between dad's and grandma's during the day also while awaiting the arrival of their expected baby brother or sister come September.

Let's help lift Michael and his family as they carry this burden.

"I can just see the energy you had then.

No regrets Michael. From Yellowstone and the Hoi Rainforest to Mt. Washington New Hampshire to Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, mountains of Oklahoma and Arkansas, Big Bend Ntl Park, and Pikes Peak, to Cowles Mt and Mt Laguna in California. You've swam in the Atlantic and Pacific in the same week. You have taken road trips from coast to coast. 40 plus states you have traveled to thus far. White Castle while passing thru Vegas it happened.

You have traveled on trains from Seattle to New York. You have walked across the Golden Gate Bridge and eaten local eats in San Diego, Boston, and New Orleans; you have ridden on sailboats, jetskis, a Bayliner, flat bottoms, canoes, kayaks, electric skateboards, and bikes.

Together we have swam under waterfalls and met our cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and even great-grandpa.

I hope you show the world someday who and what each individual can become."
