Together We Can Help Rachel Beat Breast Cancer

Rachel is one of my dearest and oldest friends. We were roommates in college, stood up in each other’s weddings, and are aunties for each other’s children. Rachel is one of those friends I want to hang on to for life, and she has been there for me through thick and thin.

In September, after a routine mammogram Rachel was called back to the office. She had a secondary 3D mammogram and ultrasound, and then a biopsy later that day.

When her biopsy results came in, 2 of the 3 areas tested came back positive with breast cancer. (The first tumor is a + + - Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and the second tumor is a + - - Invasive Lobular Ductal Carcinoma.)

Rachel (38) needs our help in the fight of her lifetime. So does her family, sons Daxton (5) and Finley (2) as well as her husband.

Between non-covered expenses, deductibles, copayments, they are expecting an out of pocket cost between $15,000-18,000. We will update that amount as we know more.

Rachel begins an aggressive treatment program this month, and I want her and her family to know they are supported and not alone.

This is where we come in. With our donations her family will be able to pay for out of pocket treatment and treatment related expenses without the burden of debt.
