TOGETHER WE RISE: SUPPORT OUR JOURNEY TO RECOVERY

I am Tiffany Woods organizing this fundraiser on behalf of both my parents. On October 4, 2021, my father, Martin, lost his balance in our family home in Forest Park and was rushed to Loyola emergency hospital. On that day, he was diagnosed with Musculoskeletal Cancer and is now paralyzed from the waist down. He now resides at a facility for continued care until we can provide hired care for him at home.

Subsequently, my mother, Janet, cared for my father 24/7 for two years. Then, on October 14, 2023, my mother, Janet, suffered a heart episode and was immediately admitted to the hospital. She was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension and received a heart coronary angioplasty and stent implantation. She was released on November 7, 2023. My mother is home and doing better but not optimally. My desire is to have our complete family at home with the assistance of a nurse to provide home health services for both my father and mother.

Both health events have placed emotional and financial strain on the household.
