Hi my name is Fakhteh and I am fundraising for my best friend Shabnam and her husband Kaveh, residing in Ottawa, Canada. They are facing an unimaginable heartbreak. Just a week before the grand opening of their dream business, Joyful Bites Kids’ Events and Cake Studio, a devastating fire reduced their hard work, hopes, and dreams to ashes. This wasn’t just a business—it was Shabnam’s lifelong dream, a place she envisioned as a sanctuary of joy, creativity, and connection for children and families in the community.

Shabnam and Kaveh sacrificed everything to make this dream a reality. They poured their hearts, sleepless nights, and life savings into building Joyful Bites while raising their two young daughters. Legal fees are mounting, and their landlord is refusing to release them from the lease, tying them to a space that won’t be usable for up to two years. With no income from the business, relying on single income isn’t enough to support their family of four or the overwhelming financial burdens they now face.

Beyond the financial loss, the emotional toll is devastating. Shabnam and Kaveh wake up each day to a dream shattered, trying to stay strong for their daughters while quietly grappling with the weight of this tragedy. They are exhausted, heartbroken, and overwhelmed by uncertainty.
