On September 5th, Heather McKeever Scott told me she had cancer.
Just a few weeks before, she had been experiencing back pain which turned into abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer after extensive testing. Heather is currently being treated in Bradenton via Moffitt Cancer Center. She has cancer in her colon and extensively throughout her liver, for which she is receiving chemotherapy every other week.
Heather is in an extreme amount of pain. She is unable to work. Her mother, Deborah, is taking care of her 24/7 with some help from friends and family. She is also paying for Heather's mortgage, bills, medical treatment, prescriptions, etc. each month. Her brother Sean is traveling to see her weekly.
Alice, Heather's seven-year-old daughter, is with her father during this time.
Any amount of money you can donate, small or large, will be truly appreciated!

Heather is such a special and unique person. She is an incredible friend, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, etc.
