Educational fund for Jen's sons

UPDATE: Jen has been sent home unable to complete her 7th round of chemo. A few weeks ago the doctors learned that the original chemo treatments she was on damaged her heart.  The damage caused her heart to work at only 50% capacity. This led to a change in chemo treatment which meant a longer stay in the hospital and more time away from her boys. An oncologist social worker told her that people in her situation tend to make bucket lists. Jen, being the Wonder Woman she is, did just that and made a vow to continue her fight. As seen in the news, one of her bucket list dreams came true ten fold. Not only did the love of her life take her to see her favorite country singer, Luke Bryan, but she also got to hug Luke and get a selfie with him. Sadly, the happiness didn't last long. Just a few short days after the concert Jen was sent home from the hospital after being told that she could not have a chemo treatment. Doctors said that the Synchronous Multifocal Osteosarcoma is not only in her jaw, pelvis, and femurs, but despite chemo treatments it has now spread to her lungs, liver, and spleen. Needless to say, surgery is no longer an option. Now, she will receive an out-patient chemo treatment in hopes that it keeps the cancer from spreading any more.

I'm asking more now than ever before for everyone and anyone to share this Go fund Me. Do it not only for Jen but her boys too. Do it in hopes that maybe, just maybe a doctor somewhere out there will see this and know how to treat her. Also, while you're at it please send all the prayers, positive vibes, and happy thoughts because her and her family need it.

Even Wonder Woman needs help sometimes! Recently, our beloved friend was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma.  On March 24th, Jen will undergo massive surgery on her jaw to remove the tumor.  Naturally, being diagnosed with cancer has taken Jen by surprise.  Unfortunately, this being as aggressive as it is, is not allowing Jen much time to make financial preparations.

Many of you may not be aware that teachers are not able to collect disability.  In order for teachers to collect some type of disability they must purchase something like AFLAC or similar.  For Jen, a single mom of three, having more money come out of her paycheck was not an option she could afford.  Sadly, that means that when she goes out for surgery and recovery she will only have a limited amount of sick days to use before she goes on unpaid leave.  There is no option for her to have any type of paid leave.

Anyone that knows Jen, knows that she is the most loving, caring, energetic person who can bring life into any room that she walks into.  She is a strong, independent woman who, if she could, would try to go through this alone rather than ask for help because she feels like she would be burdening someone.  I have watched her handle this news with such grace and strength that it amazes me.  She truly is Wonder Woman!

I  am asking for everyone to help Jen and her family during this very difficult time.  The funds collected will help lessen the financial worry on Jen's mind so that she can focus on healing and getting well.  Thank you in advance for your help! Your kindness and generosity will be welcomed and appreciated.
