TOGETHXR We Can Fund: Bras For Girls

Throughout the year, TOGETHXR is partnering with GoFundMe to raise money and awareness for the next generation of girls in sports.

This Spring, the TOGETHXR community has a chance to help young girls feel confident in their bodies while playing sports.

Did you know…

1 in 4 girls do not have access to a sports bra?*

Other identified barriers to play include a lack of financial means, a lack of role models, and concerns about body changes including breast development and the need for the right bra.

The simple intervention of a sports bra, along with the normalization of body development, can change the trajectory of a girl’s relationship with body movement for her whole life.

Here’s how we can help-

No girl should feel like their body is the reason they can’t fall in love with movement or playing sports. So we’re raising money for Bras For Girls, a nonprofit working to ensure every girl has access to a sports bra and the education they seek as their bodies change.

Having the right equipment not only helps girls fall in love with sports, but also helps them feel confident in their bodies.

TOGETHXR is excited to rally our community to fund 1000+ sports bras in spring 2024. Your donation of any amount contributes to providing sports bras to girls who need them most. A $50 donation provides 3 sports bras.

We want to use our platform to shine a light on impactful nonprofits and foundations aiming to help girls stay in the game, and create more equity and opportunity on and off the field. About Bras For Girls:

The non-profit organization has donated over 73,000 bras since starting their organization in 2017. Bras For Girls donates new, high-quality sports bras and breast development education booklets to girls in need, ages 8-18. Recipient programs include sports teams, school programs, community programs, and other initiatives that elevate girls’ access to sports.

Last year, Bras For Girls donated over 1,000 bras to girls in the national Beat the Streets programs, an organization cultivating youth development in underserved communities by encouraging a desire for excellence, respect, teamwork, leadership, integrity, and perseverance through the instruction of quality wrestling programs
