Support Muslim Justice League!
Cards warm hearts. That's important. But only dollars make it possible for the work of protecting our Muslim friends to continue, as they are targeted by the executive order on immigration. And right now, time is of the essence.
Wee are COUNTING ON YOU to dig deep and support this event's beneficiary -- the Muslim Justice League , a leading organization countering Islamophobia.
To Islam, With Love began as a small fundraiser to show love with Valentines and donation jars . It has grown into a massive, kid-powered card-making marathon at MassArt.
With the larger venue, all fundraising has moved online. This is a huge opportunity to back up our Valentines with urgently needed donations.
Muslim Justice League (MJL) is a locally-driven non-profit 501(c)(3) organization educating, organizing, and advocating for human and civil rights that are threatened under national security pretexts. When MJL was founded by four Muslim women in 2014, the need for this advocacy was already urgent. Recent developments have only heightened that urgency.
Here's what your support can do:
A one-time donation of $200 covers: Informational materials for a Muslim Justice education forum on urgent policy developments and how allies can support Muslim communities.
A one-time donation of $65 covers: Transportation for MJL to present a Know Your Rights forum in an area not accessible by public transit.
A one-time donation of $20 covers: MJL staff time to provide legal referrals to qualified immigration attorneys for 6 individuals impacted by the recent immigration executive order.
This is essential work. Please give -- and catch MJL's director Shannon Erwin talking about MJL's work in the video linked here!
Thank you,
Wee The People
