Tokoname Fire Relief

Donation protected
The Howdeshell family has lived in Kailua for over 35+ years, and back in 2008 Jeff Howdeshell and his brother Brian Howdeshell opened up Tokoname Kailua.
Tokoname Kailua is a small family owned Japanese restaurant in the heart of Kailua with 20 employees. Throughout the years, Tokoname has made generous contributions in the community to schools, children’s sports groups and other events.

On Monday November 27th, a home behind the restaurant had an electrical fire which spread to the restaurant’s back office and storage. As a result, Tokoname will be close temporarily due to significant lost of kitchen supplies and equipment.

Tokoname could use some help to get back on their feet. They’re hoping to reopen as soon a possible. Thank you in advance for supporting this wonderful family!
