While I'm out there training in the cold this winter, I wanted my miles to count for something important, and for me, that is equal access to healthcare.

Health is a human right.

I'm running in support of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) because they have the power to change healthcare policy and fight discrimination as the largest LGBTQ+ advocacy organization in the United States.

As someone with LGBTQ+ family and friends, I've seen firsthand how healthcare access can be unnecessarily complicated or denied - from being turned away by providers, struggling to find gender-affirming care, or having insurance claims rejected just because of who they are.
