Tom Cap's Medical Needs

Back on October 5th I posted asking for prayers for my brother, Tom Cappiello, as he began his chemo treatments.  Tom was diagnosed with lymphoma, and by the grace of God, he has a type that is curable. After he began treatment Tom was hospitalized having suffered a heart attack. He had to have a stent put in and the doctor saw that he would need a second one.  They waited because the heart attack had caused some damage and they wanted to give his heart some healing time.  Two weeks later on the morning he was to have the second stent put in he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, with what they thought was another heart attack.  After several days in the hospital and extensive testing it was found that the second episode was not a heart attack.  It was his body reacting to the chemo.

The original treatment that his doctors wanted to use was going to cost thousands of dollars out-of-pocket each month.  Sad that even with health insurance, he can’t receive the treatment that is best for him.  The doctors changed the course of treatment but there is still a very large co-pay for each treatment. Now, because of the “co-pay” for the chemo, doctor visits, ambulance, hospital and surgical costs, Tom is in need.  The medical bills are accumulating quickly and he can’t catch up.  The financial stress is getting to him and it can only prohibit his healing. 

He doesn’t complain and doesn’t ask for anything.  He depends solely on his faith.  So I am asking for him…for help from his friends and family for the overwhelming medical expenses.  If you can donate, that’s wonderful.  If you can share this message on your Facebook page, that is wonderful too and equally important.
