Tom Green Elementary Hornets

One of the Tom Green Elementary School buses was involved in a fatal accident today during a Pre- K field trip. A precious young boy was lost, and there are no words that will ever express the sorrow behind this, or for the death of a person who was driving a car that was on the road behind the bus. 51 others have been injured.

This community is need of our help. This is a horrible and tragic day for Hays CISD and all of our Hornets at Tom Green. If you are in any way that can give additional services please let us know. #hornetstrong

Note: Why is Ancora Ministries involved? Hays CISD determined that neither the district, nor any school, nor any school employee, could receive or manage any funds from a private fundraiser such as the Go Fund Me. Because Ancora Ministries works closely with Hays CISD by providing weekend food to children through the district as a part of the HaysHope2Go backpack program, we were identified as a trustworthy partner to the district. We were asked specifically by Molly Andrews and Hays CISD to be a “pass through” agent for these funds. This means that we will receive the funds from the Go Fund Me and pass through all of the money to the passengers on Bus 1106.
