Tom Hardy's Shelties Need Help
Donation protected
Hi, I am Laura, Tom Hardy's sister. Tom's Sheltie family is in need of help while Tom is going through a major health crisis, unable physically nor financially care for his 10 Shelties.
On March 27 Tom had severe vertigo and nausea, unable to stand and walk without falling. He was taken to the ER and then transferred to the ICU for 5 nights. Still unable to walk or even sit up on his own, and after almost 3 weeks in a skilled nursing facility and 3 nights discharged to me due to insurance limitations, he was transported back to the ER and admitted. Finally an MRI was done and they discovered he had actually had a stroke back in March. A month for a diagnosis!
The funds we hope to raise will cover vetting, vaccines, medications, dentals for the dogs that need them, food, beds, and additional pet sitting as needed.
Tom's Shelties are his family, like his children. And anyone with animal companions knows, the bond is strong and important. We want to help get Tom and his Shelties through this unexpected event in their lives, knowing that Tom's recovery is linked to his dogs. I am greatly concerned that without this immediate care his dogs are in jeopardy.

During the last month a wonderful pet sitter, Mike the "angel", and I have been caring for his dogs, but just the basics. Feeding, cleaning up, letting out, and outdoor play time. The Mid-Florida Sheltie Rescue is helping us on May 9 to groom and bath all 10 dogs. We hope to find temporary homes for all 10 Shelties so they will have quality time and attention while their dad is healing. But before we can even start to find temporary homes they are all in need of a visit to the vet, updated vaccines, having any health issues addressed, and most need dentals. Even though we both work, my sister Pat and I are spending our time and personal resources to support our brother until he is back on his feet, and keep his dogs safe and fed. We are overwhelmed, and his dogs' needs extend beyond our resources.
Tom has a 3 - 6 month recovery ahead of him, and the dogs need help now. Any amount you can donate, no matter the size, will go a long way to help and is so greatly appreciated!
Any funds collected over the need will be donated to the Mid-Florida Sheltie Rescue.
Tom, my sister Pat and I are so grateful for your help!
PS The "puppies" names are Romeo, Juliette, Savannah, Madison, Shelby, DeLaika, Sam I Am, Miss Evie, Annie and Anthony. They range is age of 3 to 14 years. All are super sweet and so much fun!
