Help get my dad Tom McDonald a stair lift

Hello, my name is Tiffany Watkins, and my dad Tom McDonald was diagnosed with lung cancer in December 2023. He then had 2 lobes of his lung removed in January 2024 and we found out that it has spread into his lymph nodes. We are trying to raise funds for him to be able to get a stair lift to use to get up and down the stairs to get into his home, as that is the only way in and out. By the time he gets 1/4 of the way he's winded and tired. Insurance won't help with the cost as they say it is a home improvement cost.

As of yesterday, 2/6 my dad was put back in the hospital due to an infection in one of his incisions and a fever. They did x-rays and a cat scan and found an excess of fluid around his heart and lungs. So, they then admitted him to have another tube put in to drain the fluid off. He will be there for a few days to have this done. Also, while he was in the ER getting checked out for the infection in his incisions, they did bloodwork as usual. Well, they found that his white blood cell count is elevated due to an infection somewhere, so they are also running antibiotics through him to help with that as well.

We are trying to raise as much as possible to help with the cost of the stair lift for him, the company that my mom contacted said on the low end is about $10,000. I will keep you all updated on this process, and we appreciate each and every one of you.
