Purple Heart Vietnam veteran needs a new home
Donation protected
Please consider helping Tom a Purple Heart and Bronze star veteran. Tom’s house has so much black mold, rot and no working bathroom. He was sleeping on his couch. Home needs to be removed and something put in its spot. We have looked for used mobile homes. Everything we have located used has been either super rotten, the towing equipment has been removed (axles, tires and tow bars). Our best option is purchasing a new home, so it will be up the code and moving in ready. Thank you for considering to donate.
Update trailer has been removed and disposed of and put into dumpers. We have located the least expensive mobile home we could find. We were giving a discount. Total cost will be $56,825. It will have basic appliances, and a small porch on both doors. We will need to change one porch so it will have handicap ramp for future issues he may have. Thank you everyone who volunteered, donated and spread the word. Without your generosity this wouldn’t have been a possibly.
newest update we have gotten the new home onsite and it’s ready to be hooked up. We need to add the small porches with ramps, small roof with posts over the generator and other odd items.
The Purple Heart medal is presented to service members who have been wounded or killed as a result of enemy action while serving in the U.S. military. A Purple Heart is a solemn distinction and means a service member has greatly sacrificed themselves, or paid the ultimate price, while in the line of duty.
According to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, more than 1.8 million Purple Heart medals have been presented to service members since the award was created in 1782. God bless our troops
