Tom Sawyer Medical and Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
As many of you know Ellsworth lost a great man this week.  Tom Sawyer the owner of Dream Catcher Antiques  on Main Street passed away after being hospitalized for 5 weeks.  Tom and his wife Karen has provided so much support to many in the Ellsworth area for years.  They have volunteered countless hours and donated financially to the Boy Scouts, schools, sports teams and anyone in need.  He was always giving to little kids that came into the store and as a matter fact Karen has received a letter from one of the kids, telling him that he will miss coming into the store and talking to him and letting him go behind the counter and steal his snacks.  He adored kids and was so special to so many.  His family has put in such a hard spot.  They like so many are very hard working and people and would help anyone that was in need and never expected anything in return.  They worked 7 days a week and only took 3 days a year off, but were not able to afford health insurance.   Tom was in ICU for 5 weeks and his bills are going to be astronomical.  His family not only has to deal with loosing such a great man but financially this could ruin them.  Tom & Karen have worked so hard it would be a shame for her to loose everything.  She is too proud to ask for any help and so I am asking as her friend.
