Life changes incredibly fast. Some days we live day to day, year to year, other days, we live hour by hour, diagnosis by diagnosis. Our hearts and minds swirl with a mixture of confusion, strength, fear, admiration and love. It wrestles with questions and echo’s concerns for the future.
Our prayers, thoughts and concerns will continue as we close out 2018, but the reality of not seeing another year is in front of the Strand family.
This fall Tom Strand was diagnosed with a Carcinoid Tumor. Over the course of the last couple of weeks, the medical community has given little hope for his recovery: this Go-Fund me account is being set up to assist the family in Medical Bills and preparing for the future. Tom has not been able to work and will only return if and when he can regain some strength. Trips to the hospital and continued searching out Dr.’s and treatments are essential to fight this cancer.
It is our desire to alleviate the cost and burden for this very caring and hardworking man.
Too often what we think we cannot comprehend is the exact thing that teaches us, stretches us and creates in us a new heart for the unknown.
Tom is determined to share his faith each day and give God praise for memories made, along with friends and family to laugh and hang out with. He doesn’t want to live with this illness, but endure through it.
Hebrews 11:1 exclaims- “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
We don’t know what the future holds, but we can take bold steps in our faith to rest in the one who guides our path; Tom’s path. Please consider supporting the Strand family at this time.
